The Pippelippa-flower True story
The very first Cutee Couture flower was made for my daughter, Filippa, or Pippa-Pippelippa, as I called her. It was cold and for her Christening in November, I made her a grey, soft woolen outfit with matching mittens and hat to cover her up until we came to church. This I adored with some grey woolen petal flowers, to the hat and coat.
I continued to make her this flower, it became like a signature look for her! I even stitched a gold petal flower and fastened it to her shoes - which I had painted gold and white, to look like Mary Janes with socks! We used what we had. lol
When we traveled to America together for the first time, her shoes stole the show - especially among the Black community, who instantly noticed and loved the look!
“Oh, those are pretty shoes!” Americans always do seem to give better compliments. Don`t you agree?
I made both my girls these hairsnaps, and set up shop selling away at local markets. Also giving away nice birthday gift sets as Hawaiian style Leis in a variety of colors, in soft woolen felt. Each felt flower is still felt by me. Handmade, glue- free, non-toxic, and soft to the touch. For the prettiest of them all! Your girl. As I did for my girls.
Available in gift boxes or sold separately.
